I recently got my new ASUS PG278Q (2560x1440@144Hz) - it's their high end gaming monitor - and the thing works perfectly with my desktop through my MSI GTX970 Gaming 4
However ....... (there should always be one)
the screen isn't registered when I try to hook it up to my Lenovo T440s laptop. The connection is through the display port - as this is the only option for the monitor.
I've tried hooking it up where I insert an adapter in the monitor -this converts from DP to DVI. Then using a standard DVI cable I try connecting it to my Ultra Dock for the Lenovo - the screen is still not regstered. When I try connecting to another monitor (an older Samsung 24" 1920x1080@60Hz) the screen is registered instantly.
Both the dock and the monitor is Display Port 1.2
I have fetched a mini display port to display adapter from work and will try to use the mini display port directly on the laptop within the next 5-6 hours and post the result
