I have a benQ XL2720Z, and occasionally the screen will go black as in no input (looks as if the screen is turned off) for a few seconds. It also does it when I alt+tab. It happens with my pc (connected via DVI) and xbox 360 (conected via HDMI).

Any ideas what is causing this? Cheers :)

Do you get this problem with other monitors? If not then its a monitor problem.

Your power supply voltages are fine.

You're missing the beginning - with ram and cpu start.

Your CPU temp is too high at 65C. Blow dust out of the case with compressed air. Get rid of any overclcok. Make sure your CPU fan at idle is well over 1000rpm

It should be running 40C max idle and 60C max gaming. If you can't get it down to there then re-seat the CPU cooler. Or next get a better cooler eg Coolermaster Hyper 212 evo (if not overclocking the CPU)

The GPU is running at 75C which is a bit warm. But 770s run fast and hot.

Hope these are what you were after. I will re-mention that it also happens on this monitor when using my xbox on a HDMI cable.

Thanks for the help, I will go from here. The problem has only been with this monitor.

Built this system a week ago, dust isn't a problem. I have a corsair H110 with a push pull configuration. May need to play around with the fan speeds.

Wish I could mount another rear exhaust fan below the GPU to suck that warm air out that way (I could but would require a bit of case modding).

Thanks again! :)
