I use an AMD FX 8150 8 core Processor 3.6Ghz, ASUS M5A97 Motherboard, Corsait Vengeance 8GB(4X2) RAM computer. Lately, it has been turning off automatically when kept idle for about 10 mins. It's not a proper shut down or hibernation, just turns off just as if the power went off. If I'm working on it, it would run for hours, but the moment I leave it idle for 10 mins, it turns off. Any solutions. Plz help

Do you have any power saving features set at 10 minutes such as any part of your PC going to sleep/hibernation? It sounds like it may be improperly setting a power state. What is your power supply model?

I'm using a Cooler Master GX 550 SMPS .. but this started suddenly, just 2 days back .. I haven't changed any settings. Moreover, even if there is a power saving feature set, shouldn't it do a proper shut down instead of the computer just turning off as such? My computer doesn't do a proper shut down. It just turns off as if someone has switched off the UPS all of a sudden.
