Questions regarding my PSU

My build is:
CPU: i5-4690k (at 4.5 GHz)
GPU: MSI Gaming GTX 970 (overclocked +140Mhz Core, +100Mhz Memory)
Memory: 2x4GB G.Skill Sniper DDR3-1600
Mobo: ASRock Z97 Extreme4 LGA1150
Storage: 128GB SSD + 500GB SSHD + 1TB HDD
PSU: Corsair CX500 (not modular)

Is my power supply ample enough to run this system? If not, would lowering the overclocks (or not overclocking at all) fix the problem? I'd rather not have to buy another power supply (college student), so I would rather lose some performance than spend more money on the build. Thanks in advance!

Yes it should do the job but I would recommend finding a place to cut back (maybe storage) and then upgrade the PSU. You are also going to need a CPU cooler if you plan to overclock.

Over time a more efficient power supply will save you money. However, if you are a college student living in a dorm I suppose electricity doesn't really matter.

Thanks!
I have a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ with a second fan for the CPU.
