Dear tomshardware community,
I've chosen the parts for my dualboot hackintosh a long time ago and I'll build the system
some time in this year. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/MRP799
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard: Asus GRYPHON Z97 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Case: Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter
Today I stumbled upon another micro ATX Mini Tower case by Cooler Master which I have
overlooked so far. It's the Cooler Master Silencio 352. It is very similar to the Cooler Master N200
but it is much more silence optimized, has a SD card slot and looks a lot more elegant in my
opinion.
I have zero experience with PC cases that have a front door though. I value good cooling/airflow
and silence in a PC case. Now I am wondering how much such a front door, like the Cooler Master Silencio 352 has, obstructs airflow and cooling?
Also if you're wondering about the high W PSU that's there because I'll be adding a decent graphics card in the future and I like to have some overclocking headroom.
[strike]Additionally I've heard that the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, while being a great cooler for the price, is very difficult to mount. If anyone has some suggestions for a cpu cooler with the same/better cooling performance and in the same price range but with better mounting I'd really appreciate it. I thought about getting a be quiet! Shadow Rock 2 instead (I'll live in germany soon - currently austria - so I also have great support from them here)[/strike] Shadow Rock 2 it is.
Thanks in advance!
