ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 compatible with AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series

Hi guys,

I have a Radeon HD 7970 royalQueen installed as main graphic card. I use 2 monitors, and would like to run 3 at the same time. I thought i could use an old video card to connect to my third monitor. I tried the ATI Radeon HD 4350, but when it connected, it wasn't working correctly. I assume that the drivers are different for this graphic card than the ones for the 7950. My question is: is there a possibility to still use the 2 graphic cards.

The 4xxx series driver stopped with the legacy one with a driver date of 4/13. The 7950 uses current drivers. You could try uninstalling your current graphics driver and install the legacy one only. See if that works.
