Switched from console. Comments and concerns on my first time hopeful build.

I'm a first time builder and I need to know if I am making the right choices for the money.
-AMD FX-6300 6-core processor
-Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard
-G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
-Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
-XFX Radeon R9 280X 3GB Double Dissipation Video Card
-NZXT Source 210 Elite (White) ATX Mid Tower Case
-Fractal Design Integra R2 650W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
-Windows 8.1 and a keyboard and mouse.

Definitely change the PSU to this one and consider upgrading the GPU to the R9 290

The CPU cooler is a must-have if you plan to overclock (and with an FX it would be advisable to)

My budget is 750$ to 790$ so I will definitely upgrade the PSU and get a cooler. But the 290's power consumption worries me although it does have great performance. Thank you for the help.

Power consumption-wise it will be absolutely fine with the Antec HCG 620m

Remember it will only draw maximum power under very heavy loads.

The 280X consumes around 200W when gaming and the 290 consumes around 220W so not a huge difference really
