If I want to buy a 1920x1080 monitor will a 23" one look better than a 27" one? This is all I need to know thanks.

It comes down to personal preference, I personally think about > 24" gets a bit too large for 1080p.

As Gam3r01 says it comes down to preference, if your going to be seated a bit further back then the 27" look fine, I have one and I just sit back in a nice comfortable position and it still looks great IMHO.
