Monitor turns off when playing and pc stays on

It started yesterday and i was playing game.Suddenly the monitor turned off and the pc was still on.When i checked the pc cabinet ,i smelled something smoky.Next day it happened 2 times so please could anyone help me?(sry for my grammar i dont speak english)

The graphics card has probably been fried. Look for signs of heat damage on it and if you see any, replace the card.

If new card doesn't work you may have fried some other motherboard components too. That means a new motherboard.

System specs including the make and model of the PSU would be helpful. If you are running and inadequate or low quality PSU it could be causing problems and could also potentially damage hardware.

That PSU is not good, not good at all. It's probably what died. Based on you CPU there's a good chance the system has no integrated video card.(you didn't include the make and model of the motherboard). If i were troubleshooting this system I would start by inspecting the system for any burn marks or burnt wires, then move move on to swapping out the PSU for a better quality unit and hoping the old one didn't fry any other components.

Sry, i ACCIDENTALY clicked accept as solution, my motherboard is MSI 760 GA P43 (FX) and it includes and integrated ati radeon 3000 hd.I will try the old PSU .Thank you
