Specs and requirements for running 4K on a PC or Mac

Can i run a 4K desktop and games smoothly, without too much lag, at a minimum of 60 hz, with a HP Envy 700-229c with a radeon r9-270 video card?
I have already ordered the Acer B286HK, 4K monitor, it should be here saturday.

Well that GPU can get things done but you'll have to reduce the setting a little bit, it depend on games though what games you're aiming at ?

You have a great processor and a good amount of ram. CPU bottle necking is very rare, but I think you are bottle necking your cpu with that card. That card isnt that powerful. I would stick with 1080p. Thats just my opinion.
