Hi,

My PC is:
i7 4790
Asus 280x Top

Current monitor: 27 inch 1920x1080p 60hz AOC e2795Vh 2ms http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/accessories/pc-monitors/50772/aoc-e2795vh-review/specifications

I'm planning on buying a ultrawide 29 inch monitor 2560x1080p, how will eyefinity work in games like Counter Strike: Global Offensive, will the crossfire(center of the screen) be split by bevels or will it be mostly on the 2560x1080p ultrawide monitor? Because if the bevel doesn't split the aim crossfire then it's very playable and non bothering in driving and FPS games.

How well can 280x(Factory overclock) handle these resolutions in eyefinity? I haven't found anyone having this particular setup reviewed or talked about.

This is a picture of the setup i would like to have, but would like to see a gameplay video before buying just to make sure.

I need the dual monitors for 3d animations and video editing work, not only for gaming but i would prefer it to be usable for gaming.

The 144hz means the same as 144fps(That`s what it can handle without tearing)... It will be very smooth and also very nice but if the GPU cannot generate more than 60hz/fps or even if it`s just ` bit more than 60 then getting 144hz is pointless. Those displays are for when you...

Dude the system will still pick it up as 2 monitors and doing surround with 2 won`t work... Maybe if you can split the bigger one. As for the res, the 280X will be able to run it but it will be at very low graphics detail. For a true surround experience I would say get at least a 290 but the 290X would be better.

The eyefinity should make a 4480x1080 resolution so the center shouldn't be near bevel. I just want someone to confirm that it will work that way, i'm sure 280x an do 4480x1080 at well over 60fps average in CS:GO or Skyrim(without mods). I might upgrade the GPU in near future but for now i'm in market for a secondary monitor that i will primarly need for video editing, would like to use it in games that can handle it at very high with 60fps.

I tested eyefinity with the 27 inch 1920x1080 along my old monitor 1680x1050, i can make the crossfire be away enough from bezels because of ration difference of the monitors, it would work the same way with 2560x1080 and 1920x1080 setup. The crossfire would be on the ultrawide monitor far enough from bezels.

I'm considering another option for upgrade, the 144Hz 1080p monitor, do you think that going 1 monitor 144hz is better than bigger ultrawide 60hz?

It will be very smooth and also very nice but if the GPU cannot generate more than 60hz/fps or even if it`s just ` bit more than 60 then getting 144hz is pointless. Those displays are for when you have alot of GPU power and want to utilize all of it and not wanting to activate V-Sync to eliminate tearing...

If your going for a 280X then a 144hz screen is really pointless. I would say, if your bent on going 280X then just get a very good 60hz 1080p display and have fun with that, If your thinking about upgrading your GPU in the future then get 3 1080p 60hz displays for future eyefinity....
