Hello, I know there are some threads already going around but I just wanted to post my own and ask. So I was wondering what the best monitor was for me to get. I do a lot of gaming, mainly games such as Battlefield 4, GTA V (when it gets released for PC), Minecraft, Watchdogs, etc. I have been looking at Newegg for some monitors. I prefer an ASUS brand monitor as I have always had good experiences with ASUS. I really do not want to spend more than $300. I am looking for something that will run really great and smoothly, especially for gaming. I also watch a lot of movies and TV shows on my computer but my main use is for gaming. I would really like to get a 27" or a 28" monitor. I also definitely want a monitor that has a matte screen, I hate having a glossy and reflective screen. I currently have a 23.5" ASUS monitor so I plan to turn it into a double monitor but I would like a bigger one for my main screen and use the 23.5" monitor as a secondary side screen. I don't know if this effects anything but I have a GTX 650 2GB graphics card. Any suggestions or recommendations would be great! Thank you very much in advance!

Here are a few of the monitors I have been looking at, would they be any good?

My advice if you are playing those sort of games is to go for at least a 120Hz monitor. You will probably have to go slightly over the $300 mark though, I suspect 120Hz will drop in price when the new 144Hz Active Sync monitors drop later this month. So you might get a lucky bargain if you hold off for a while.

Don't get anything other than a 120Hz for gaming.

Any of those would be fine for gaming, generally though the lower the response time the better, What I like to do when I'm indecisive about a part is to browse through the list on pcpartpicker and see what the most popular choices are, and compare them to what I need/want out of it. You can find the Monitor list here: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/monitor/

You can also select/deselect features and specifications for the list to narrow down the results more to what you are interested in.

Update: Neur0nauT recommended 120Hz and I would endorse this also, if you get 60Hz and your hardware is running more than 60fps it's probable you could encounter screen tearing, unless you want to lock your fps down, which I'm assuming you don't :)

I've never used that website before and that was great advice! Thank you very much! I think I'm going to go with the monitor that Neur0nauT suggested, even though I'd prefer to get a 27" that monitor seems REALLY nice for gaming and the price is pretty good for it. Thank you for all your help! I appreciate it!
