New monitor woes

Hello, I recently got a new monitor, the QNIX qx2710 2560x1440p monitor, and I haven't used my desktop in a couple months. Now usually my computer would boot up to the American mega trends screen, where I would then go to bios, and boot up regularly. The problem is though, I can't see anything because the screen is black, even though the monitor is working. Does anyone have a solution for this? Any help would be appreciated. My computer specs are MSI GTX 670 Power edition, Intel i7 2600k, 8gb ripjaws ram, asus p8z777-v Mobo
