I know this may seem like the wrong place to post my problem but i thought somebody with any prior knowledge might be able to help. Basically, my monitor is a couple years old, and half of the display is much dimmer that the top. the brightness is at max. Is there like a burnet out bulb, and if there is can i fix it?

Samsung SyncMaster 206BW Review

thats backlight bleeding you have resulting in uniformity problems. you must lern to live with it. dont use max brightness with your monitor or use under very dark environment! ambient lighting may alleviate bleeding result to some extend! the review doesnt state such problem however in higher levels can be rather annoying! thats more than a coulpe of years old monitor you have! i dont thing you are still under any king of warranty.!
