The above error always appears when I am shutting my Acer Aspire E1-531 when I no longer need to use it. The error message prevents Windows 10 from shutting down and I have to click on close anyway to get rid of the error message. I have one internal hard disc and two external hard discs one of which is a desktop which I bought 20 months ago to expand the disc space.
What can it be and what can I do about getting rid of it? It is getting annoying now.

Solution
The first step that I would take is to run chkdsk /r on hard disk 2 to ensure that the drive itself is not responsible for the errors. The other thing I would recommend is to install the most recent storage drivers for Windows 8.1 available from Acer for your system.
