I know this answer is probably simple but I'm asking anyway. I mainly game and I've been used to the 27'' monitor all my life. Some people tell me the hz and response time is not a big deal so I don't know if I should spend the cash or not. I'm willing to but I need some advice. If I can afford it, should I do it? How much bigger is the advantage in shooters? Both are 1080p.

Some of you guys who have gone from 27'' to 24'', how hard is the adjustment?

EDIT: 24'' has 170degree/160degree viewing angles

There is a huge difference between 60 Hz and 144 Hz.
Just as big as the difference from 30 to 60, in my perspective.

How ever, you will need to get 144 FPS in order to utilize the 144Hz on a 144Hz monitor. Though it looks incredibly smooth.
I can't do anything else but to recommend you the 144Hz monitor.
I can't even play on a 60Hz monitor now when I am used to 144 without getting the feel that it's lagging.

144Hz is really useful in fast paced games, so in shooter games and racing games you will see a big difference when looking around or turning. If you get 144 FPS, that is.

The monitor I use is the Asus VG278HR, with a built-in 3D sender and glasses include. Though it's 27".

There is a 24" version of the monitor, VG248QE. Should...

Lowering your res usually results in higher FPS, right?
