Gaming on LG 34UM95 UltraWide display. HDMI or Display port???

Hello all.
So i'm gonna buy this awesome IPS monitor in the following days and i've read that it only works at 50hz through HDMI while with Display port is 60hz.
I don't know the difference between 50hz and 60hz so can i get some advice pls?
I will mostly be using this monitor for gaming.

There should really be no difference in quality but if you are really limited to 50hz hz with HDMI on it, I would use display port.
HDMI 2 should be able to run at the screen's resolution at 60hz.

Yeah that's what it says in every review, that the HDMI only supports 50hz. But yeah i'l buy a Display port cable indeed. Than you.
