I cannot set up a third Dell E2310H monitor on my AMD Radeon HD 6870.

Hardware specs:
- http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/desktop/6000/6870

Making use of the 2 DVI and 1 HDMI outputs, and it accepts any two of the three, but not all three. (I am using an HDMI to DVI cable, as the Dell E2310H has only VGA and DVI inputs.)

Off the Radeon 6870 box:
- "AMD Eyefinity technology can support 3 or more displays (depending on the graphic card model). To enable more than 2 displays, native DisplayPort connection and/or certified DisplayPort adapters, to convert the DisplayPort or Mini-DisplayPort output of your graphics card, are required."

Exactly what do I need to do? Spell it right out for me. I'll need the clarity.

My guess is I need a DisplayPort adapter, as my Dell E2310H is incompatible with DisplayPort. Can I run two monitors off DVI and the third off DisplayPort? Also, I am just learning about DisplayPorts. Are they the two tiny outputs on the back of the card (see hardware spec link above)?

Thank you.
