Can someone suggest a hard drive I could buy?

Im not looking for anything fancy, 1TB would be nice, 7200RPM, SATA 6GB/s I guess.
Planning on using it for gaming, and no, not looking for SSD, too expensive for me ^^.

As long as the hard drive is capable of handling steam downloads at 8mb/s without the "Busy writing to disk" crap blocking my downloads I will be happy.

Currently im running a 600GB SATA 3GB/s drive with around 5k RPM which cant breach 2.5mb/s for more than 5 seconds before getting the Busy writing to disk nonsense.

Even though I said I dont want SSD due to their pricing, Im not looking for cheapest hardware either, I'd like it to last me a while.

Hi there SimonColt,

In case you go with WD, I would advise you to consider WD Blue and WD Black.
WD Blue - It is a 1TB 7200 RPM drive that, in my view, will fit your needs.
WD Black(the drive that Emerald already suggested) - This is a performance oriented drive that has 5 years of limited warranty. Though, it falls in a slightly higher price range.
It may be a good idea to wait for some HDD suggestions. :)

More on their fetures:
