on board video isn't working now I have no monitor to install new pci video card

Tryin to install a new pci video card but can't see anything on the monitor to disable on board vga etc....

The onboard is automatically disabled when installing a graphics card. Connect the monitor to it (not to the motherboard).

Have the monitor cord going to the card but nothing coming up at all if I remove and plug the cord in it states no signal

What motherboard and graphics card? Are the PCie power cables connected to the card (if required)?
What ports using for connecting the monitor (DVI to DVI, VGA to VGA...)?

Is the card AGP or PCI?
I'm asking because I can't see on the board a slot to insert the card in.

No sir card is pci 2.0....

Have you tested each PCI slot and still no go? Have you installed the driver for it?
