monitor one messes up when playing videos, two is fine. radeon crossfire cards

I recently got my hands on 2 radeon 280x graphics cards and set them up to crossfire. Most of the time i play all my videos on my second monitor but when I attempt to play even youtube on my first monitor, it freaks out and if it does ever stop the screen looks like it is all messed up. The only way I can fix it, is by restarted my whole pc. Is this a problem with 1 or both of my video cards or is there some setting that i can adjust.

how do you have the monitors connected and are they the same rez

they are both connected to the top video card and yes they are both the same rez. I do not know if it matters but the way they are plugged into the video card is the monitor on the left on the top and monitor on the right on the bottom.

how do you have them configured, for example are they in an array or ran independently

I am not sure what you mean by that. What is array or independent.

additionally now, it seems to stop the screen being all black like the picture and now it looks like it has tears across the whole screen vertically.
