Best Graphics card or Cards for £800 to run 3 x ASUS VG248QE 24" monitors.

At the moment I'm totally stuck between getting 2 x GTX970's or 2 x GTX 980's !
My PSU is an ANTEC 750W (heavy duty).

I have been looking at benchmarks and various reviews from all over and still can't decide.

2 x GTX 970's will cost about £600 or less (Depending on cards)
2 x GTX 980's will cost about £850 or less (Depending on Cards)

I am a bit concerned that the 3.5-4GB memory is not ideal for running 3 monitors (as my HD7970 has 6GB) .

If I could get a FINAL ANSWER on this I would be most grateful.

Thanks in advance :)

Get the two 980's you can get the lower priced reference cards and overclock them if you want to save money.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127840 this card is $539 or 365.56 pounds, meaning that you can get two quite easily AND, that is by no means a low grade card. even if the cost hurts you now, you will be able to keep your build much longer as 98os are very powerful. Just a question are you sure you don't want two 290x cards? you can get three for under eight hundred pounds, yes you would need anew power supply, but it would still be under 800 pounds.

+1 I highly recommend this MSI GTX 980 Gaming. I had a pair of them on my ROG Swift and they were excellent! I'm making a downgrade to a pair of R9 290's that should be here soon but those 980's were awesome! I will also say that I had an ASUS STRIX model and being a big ASUS fan, I still preferred the MSI.

I'd go with the 980 SLI especially if you want to get anywhere near the 144 Hz refresh rate of those monitors with eye candy on depending on the games you are playing. With one monitor, you probably won't run into that 3.5 GB issue with the 970 but with 3x monitors, that will make a difference.
