My analog keyboard (ps/2) port doesn't work?

Hello, my motherboard is a P6X58D Premium and I have got this weird problem where my rear panel's analog keyboard port doesn't seem to work.

What could be causing this, other than old age perhaps?
Any kind of cable that I can check, or anything?

It could be the keyboard. Your best bet is to get a usb keyboard and use it instead.

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention I am using an USB keyboard, and have tried 2 different analog keyboards.

Its because my USB keyboard barely works, and the only other alternative i've got right now is one of these analog keyboards, but they dont get powered on when i plug them in, for some reason.

It is not worth changing the mobo its cheaper to just get a new keyboard
