Hey just looking on some helpful advice for a planned build/upgrade I'm planning in the next few months for my PC.

Below is my current rig:

XPS 730x Desktop Casing
Windows 7(64-bit) home premium
1TB HDD (everything is on the thing, and she's getting slow...)
Intel Core I7 920 @2.67Ghz
Nvidia GTX 580 Lightning XE from MSI
Dell P270J motherboard(XPS 730x) using the Intel X58chipset
12GB RAM in a 4x3 combination(I think?)

Planned Upgrades:

XPS 730x Desktop Casing (new stuff in old case)
Windows 7(64-bit) home premium (same as above)
250GB SSD bootdrive + 2-4TB HDD for everything else.
Intel Core I7 5930k
MSI 900 series Nvidia Card (possible 2 later)
Intel Motherboard? (need help with this one)
16GB RAM with room to upgrade to 32GB RAM in the future.

The big thing is the new motherboard, I have no idea what to look at for my RAM needs or chipsets. Advice on a motherboard is welcome, as well as anything else that you see causing a problem or something that might be better. Also advice on where to buy components would be helpful, I was eyeing up Newegg, thoughts? Thanks for any help or advice you can give me.

Personally I'd get a new case for better thermal performance and (in general) quieter acoustics. Something like an Antec Three Hundred Two would do you good: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129180&cm_re=antec_three_hundred_two-_-11-129-180-_-Product

As far as motherboards go, you'll need an X99 for that 5930k, so something like this would do just fine: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157543&cm_re=x99-_-13-157-543-_-Product

Then for RAM you'll need the fancy new DDR4 stuff: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231791&cm_re=ddr4_16gb-_-20-231-791-_-Product

If any of this is out of your budget just update us with a price range and I'll see what I can do.
