Recommendation For Good Colour Reproduction Monitor. (with a side of gaming). under $350 AUD

Hello,
I currently have an LG IPS226 (just a regular 21.5" IPS 60hz monitor)
after +9 hours a day for 2-years of use, the monitor has a darkened tint down the left side that's about 3cm wide (making me weary if i should get LG again )
And so I'm on the hunt for a new monitor.

I occasionally play video games (stuff like league of legends) so under 6ms would be nice.
I mainly watch movies ,anime and YouTube
I also stare at pictures (like from deviantart.com) and do a bit of 3DS-Max and Photoshop.

In conclusion colour reproduction is pretty important to me (with some balance for gaming).
I live in Australia so anything off pccasegear.com or ebay is preferred.
My budget is $350 AUD and the screen size doesn't matter.
LG's 25UM65-P 25in says its true-8bit, is this any better than regular IPS/PLS panels?
