Guys for gamers..who sit directly infront of their displays....AH-IPS type monitors are better than TN panel monitors?? I can get a BenQ 23 inch Ah-IPS monitor for 50 dollars extra..instead of my samsung 22 inch tn panel which i was previously considering....except wider viewing angles is there any other advantage?? I will use it just for gaming...response times of both the monitors are similar

Without knowing what games you play or what you are looking for in a monitor, I'd choose an IPS. One is less likely to be really dissappointed with IPS (unless it's a really bad quality one) than with a TN (generally a good TN is required for favorable experience).

If you know what you are looking for though, there are good TN panels.

Depends on your budget.

You'll be spending at least $250-270 if you want a 120-144Hz TN panel. If you're only spending $200 and lower then I would get an IPS panel since most of them have a response time of 5-8ms which is pretty decent for gaming.

To me, there's a huge difference in picture/color quality between a cheap 60Hz TN panel and a cheap 60Hz IPS panel. That alone makes playing games and watching movies visually more enjoyable to me. The viewing angles of an IPS panel is a plus too.

What's your budget? That would help us figure out what is best for you. I don't mind playing games at 60Hz with vsync off and that is why the color reproduction of a cheap IPS panel to me outweighs a cheap 60Hz TN panel.

Budget range... is it $200 or lower.... or around $250? Telling us it's $50 more doesn't really tell us anything. There's a huge difference in what monitors you can get between $100-$150, $150-200, $200-$250, $250-$300, etc.

If you're into FPS games and want a 120-144Hz TN panel then get it. If you don't have enough money then save up the extra money. I think it's pointless to get a 60Hz TN panel to only regret it later.

If you're not a hardcore gamer or don't care for a 120-144Hz monitor then yes, I would spend that extra $50 for an IPS panel because color reproduction and viewing angles to me is more pleasing to my eyes. $50 extra to me is not that much, but to you could be a different story. It all depends on your needs and how much you are willing to spend.
