Maybe there were thousand of threads like this, but i really need some help.
Currently i am using i7 4790 non K (so i can't do overclocking)
ASUS Strix GTX 980
Corsair 8 Gigabytes RAM

I rarely do some video rendering, maybe once a month
i just playing some games and i never had problem with my setup right now

But

My motherboard right now is : ASUS Z97 - K
Its a ATX normal motherboard about $150
it doesn't have any gaming "things" on it.
And honestly, it doesn't look great on visual at all.
It just normal motherboard that do some normal thing

My question.
Do you guys think it is fine if i change my motherboard to:
A. ASUS Z97 Sabertooth Mark S
B. MSI Z97 Gaming 3
or another $200 --> $300 Z97 gaming motherboard

or i just stay on my motherboard.

Honestly i just want a good looking motherboard
but i don't want to spent money just for the visual.
Is gaming motherboard really do differently than normal motherboard?

Sorry for my English
it's not my main language

thanks for helping

You should stick with your motherboard. Always remember: Functionality > Aesthetics.

Sure the Z97 K may not be the best looking board but it performs very well in just about anything you throw at it.

Gaming motherboards such as the Asus Maximus VII Hero that I own are geared more towards gaming (hence its name) and has better overclocking capability as well as more power phases and better power regulation around the board. Furthermore the gaming motherboard also comes with a lot of useful gaming features such as GameFirst III, Sonic Radar that I use in almost every game I play.

But really like I said before stick to your Z97 K, the board still performs very well. Your not going to overclock since you have a locked Processor so there is really no point in getting a gaming motherboard unless you have too much money to spend.
