Hi all,
Preliminary info:
I'm building a computer for my friend who is getting into the tech field and wants as badass a computer he can get for his budget of $1,700 (hard cap).
Planning on buying all this from newegg by Friday. I'd prefer to not stray from newegg to make everything easier
While his justification for dropping this amount of money is that he's getting into the field, he watches movies and surfs a few hours each day. He wants to be able to play the latest games on this too.
He'll have it hooked up to his 3d full HD 55" tv often.
No overclocking or SLI
OS: Windows 7
Here's what I've got right now:
And Links for each:
One additional question regarding GPU (4GB vs 3GB). Gpuboss.com shows the 980 and 780 ti being quite similar, so I thought save some money and get the 780 so the cash saved could go elsewhere. However here's my question:
How long do you think this video card can run most games at max settings for? Before the requirements raise to 4GB
Thanks for the help!
Andrew
