Using my tv as a second monitor problem

So i just setup my tv as a second monitor and i have it on the wall and everything but i have been having this issue.
It just display's the and copies what is on my other monitor, It also makes everything looks really retarded like a weird res everything but my normal desktop.
My monitor is a benq XL2420Z and idk the name of my tv.
I have a Amd 7950 3gb black edition

What OS?

In Windows 8.1:
Right click on your desktop
Select Display
Change Display Settings

Under Multiple displays, yours is set to "Duplicate these displays"
Change it to "Extend these displays"
Adjust resolution as needed
