Best Budget Upgrade for an older system

Hey guys, It's been a while since I did anything to my rig, and I'm wondering what my best upgrade path should be.

I have an MSI P67A-GD65 motherboard which has a single PCIe 2.0 slot, and my current card is an HD5870(1GB), and while I'm transitioning to a console for my gaming(it's simpler with a toddler), I'd like the option to have the option, and that card is showing it's age.

Whats the general consensus for the card I should target(and why)?
