When adjusting my memory to the appropriate frequency instead of auto in the bios, I end up with blue screens and forced shutdowns/restarts while in windows. The event code is critical 41
My memory is 1866 but running at 1300 on auto.
Switched it back to auto and now no problems
System Specs:
AMD 6300 3.5ghz Black edition, no overclock
Asus Sabertooth 990fx 2.0
Ripjaws DDR3-1866 8192x2 CL9-10-9-28 1.5v
Nvidia Geforce GTX 750ti
EVGA Supernova 850w G2 gold psu
WD Veliciraptor 500gb
Asus 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW x2
Asus VG248qe
Rosewill Thor v2 case
Windows 7 pro 64b
Do I need to adjust the voltage or latency if I change it to 1866? I have never done that before.
Also, after the 3 or 4 forced shutdowns/restarts, my CPU is spiking on the 1st and 6th core often and the frequency is going from idle up to boost of 4100mhz or so up and down every 5 seconds or so. Never did that before this and there are no background programs running that would do that. I like my system clean so there is nothing on here that I don't use. Maybe fizzled my processor too?
Thank you to all that answer, and I will provide more information if requested. Thank you.
