Hi. About 6 months ago, I bougt a MSI B85M-E45 motherboard along with a 4460 i5 processor. About 2 weeks ago i got my first problem with it. I will list some scenarios.

1. When USB devices has been disconnected, I have to reset CMOS before they will work again, when reconnected.

2. When all cables (monitor, mouse, keyboard, power) has been disconnected, and then reconnected, the computer will power on, but the monitor wont, until i reset CMOS, then every thing works perfect.

3. When the computer is on, i can disconnect and reconnect every device in any of my USB 3.0 ports. But when I disconnect a device plugged in a USB 2.0 port, and reconnect, it cannot find its driver, and wont work.

System information:

MSI B85M-E45
Intel i5 4460
Ballistix 2x4GB ram
Samsung EVO 840 240GB ssd
Asus ROG r9 290X gpu
Loads of aircooling
LG Blu-Ray drive

Thanks in advance,

Christian Alberg

sometime the usb driver do remember the usb slot it used to be in, I think this may happen in all mobo and pc.
is there has any problem that force you have to reconnect your mouse/keyboard?
if not, connect it on the back of i/o panel.

and also, update your usb driver and bios, to see if this can be fix or not.
