I have been having the problem where my computer turns on fine but the monitor stays black. I have narrowed it down to being a problem with the graphics card though because when unplug the graphics card's power and plug the DVI cable into the integrated graphics card, it works fine. I know it isn't a fried PCI Express port because I tried the next one down on the motherboard and it still wouldn't work. The monitor is still black when I have the power plugged into the graphics card and the DVI cable plugged into the integrated graphics. At this point I think that it might be a problem with the graphics card that requires I send it back but what is weird is that the graphics card powers on and the fans run but the screen remains black.

Have you changed the default setting in your BIOS to switch from integrated to PCI? You may need to go into your BIOS to change this so your PC knows to use the PCI slot instead of the integrated graphics.
