I salvaged an ATI Rage Pro Turbo AGP from a computer that died a few years ago and I was wondering back in the day how good of a card it was. I know it had 8MB of RAM with a 75MHz core speed. Was it a popular card and could play games fine? Also, there is a large header at the top of the card and I was wondering what that was for.

It helped to really start the 3D market moving and it could game, for those who can remember it was a true revelation to see actual polygons moving across our screens...And if we were lucky we had 8 bit colour at 640x480 rez!
No idea about the header but it's certainly an old card, the slot in the connector shows it as being a 3.3 volt part.

I doubt it would be SLI from 3dfx.

I know you didn't say it. I was watching some videos with old 3dfx Voodoo cards in SLI and it had big headers for SLI like on this card.

I had one of these that came in a Dell XPS from 1998. A ribbon cable would connect to that header at the top and link it to a DVD decoder card (since it wasn't built in to the video card at the time).
