I am looking for a 1080p monitor and I know that there is a 1ms difference and a significant difference in contrast ratio, but I haven't heard anything bad about the BenQ, but that there is a ghosting issue with the Asus? I'm also a gamer, which is why I'm looking at these two.

The ASUS actually has anti-ghosting so there shouldn't be an issue with that for that particular monitor. Contrast ratio does not affect performance so you do not need to worry about that. It is just when bright stuff on the monitor are dimmed down and the dimmer stuff on the monitor brightens up.

But I think you should get the ASUS monitor. It's cheaper as of currently.
