So I am currently running GTAV on very high with good FPS using an FX6300 @4.6GHZ and a 4GB GTX760 @ 1300MHZ / memory 3375MHZ ;

Question is, will I see a performance increase if I had a 8350? (for the sake of this, will I get ANY FPS increase on a stock 8350 vs my heavily overclocked 6300?)

Before people say buy a 4690K I am getting one after the Mrs' Birthday :')

Also how are peoples FPS on other CPU / GPU combos?

Yeh I agree; I guess I'll put up with the occasional stutter for now!

Don't listen to the Intel fanboys. I have the fx-8320 on stock settings with a gtx 970 and the game works without stutter. You can even OC the 8320 to higher than the 8350 stock clocks. Rockstar's latest GTA V patch has decreased performance a little bit but it will get better with a later patch hopefully

their not intel fanboys, intel will perform much better in gta and the majority of games than its amd counterpart. theres a good jump in gta alone from a 8350 to a 4690

People make out that AMD CPU's can't handle it, when infact they can handle it perfectly fine.

Yes, Intel are more powerful, but this doesn't make AMD worthless.

That's what you call fanboying.

I'm running the 8320 and GTA V is using up all 8 cores, without stutter at 60 fps.

when has anyone said amd is worthless, they make good gpu's but their cpu game is falling behind, atleast until their next generation which is hopefully going to surprise us all

may i ask. "...I am currently running GTAV on very high with good FPS using an FX6300 ..."
if you are running on very high setting with good fps. what make you think you will eye the difference if you change anything on your computer?
I did that once back a long time ago in the 8800GTX sli age. i was getting everything on very high but hey 480gtx is out. why not use the 499.99+tax to upgrade the video card......after hrs of replacing the case caz my old case was too small. i turn on the computer and find that everything look the same. wait with the new video card? and yes it did. well caz the 8800sli was doing alright back in the days with the game i'm playing with very high setting. what more do you think it will do with a better card? the same....... it is. LOL so yes i burn 800 buk for video card,case and psu for sick of having a top of the line video card for 6 months. which doesn't do much.

If anything upgrade the GPU not the CPU. unless you are doing SLI/Crossfire. don't think it matter much about intel or AMD if it only one video card.

so my suggestion. don't upgrade unless your computer show sign of lag when you play the game you want to with the setting you want.
Price of computer parts will always drop in time. and speed of parts will always increase so save the money and use it until then.
