Need a new CPU that won't bottle neck my GPU and will work with my mobo, any suggestions?

Hey all, my current CPU (AMD Phenom II X2 555) is pretty outdated and is holding my PC back.

My GPU is an AMD Radeon HD 6800, it does the job (at low graphics) lol

My mobo uses AM3+ processors, so could someone give me a recommendation as to which CPU I should get? Preferably something between $0 - $150 would be good.

The best AM3+ Cpu around that price point is probably the FX-8320

You'll run a 6300 on that board with no problem at all - I'm pushing 4.3ghz on a board with exactly the same phase design.

Look at a decent downblowing cooler just to push some air over the vrm's too.

Okay, thanks for the answers guys. I'll probably look into getting an FX-6300 if my mobo can handle it then.
