Graphic artifacts when changing GPU memory clock speed

Hello,

I have a older gaming laptop with a GTX 260m.

The moment I underclock I see some squares on around 4 places on the screen that disappear when I move a window that has any sort of GPU acceleration over it.

Even tho the GPU works perfectly fine, are artifacts a common thing when changing clock speeds to lower?

If the artifacts are not common by just changing clock speeds, maybe I should just leave them to stock and not bother with it.

Thanks for your time.

I Recomend staying with the standard clocks the card came with , dont wanna really overclock on a laptop , thats how i burn my mobo got too hot.
also if you overclock it too much you will see those artifacts too

Hi,

I don't overclock, I only underclock because the card never goes to 2D speeds or should I say idle speeds.

When I'm on battery, everything gets underclocked but the GPU, unless I do it manually, but I get those weird squares which disappear right after I move something thru them.
