i keep looking it up online but i don't get it
im more of an AMD guy because it is more power ful so whats the difference

AMD's not powerful at all. The GPU will beat Intel ones anytime, but their CPU has such old architecture. They are based on 32 nanometer silicon-on-insulator while Intel has 22nm FinFET, a more well done version of SOI found in AMD.

As for the i3, i5, and i7 difference, the i3 has 2 cores slashed (still has 4 threads), the i5 has all cores and threads (4 and 4), and the i7 has 4 cores and 8 threads.

The i3 has 2 hyperthreaded cores, so they can run up to 4 threads at once. Their clock rate is between 3.4 and 3.8 GHz depending on which model. They all have 4MB cache. They have either HD 4400 or HD 4600 graphics. All i3's have locked multipliers.

The i5 has 4 cores with no hyperthreading so it can run up to 4 threads at once. Its clock rate is between 3.0 and 3.5 GHz depending on the model. They all have Turbo boost, which means they can scale up their clock if only one or two cores are used. The highest Turbo boost is 3.9 GHz. They all have 6 MB cache. They all have HD 4600 graphics. Only a few have unlocked multipliers.

The i7 has 4 cores with hyperthreading, so it can run up to 8 threads at once. Some of the beefy models have 6 cores and the Extreme Edition has 8. The clock rate is between 3.4 and 4.0 GHz with Turbo boost up to 4.4 GHz. They all have HD 4600 graphics. They have 8 MB cache but the beefy ones have up to 20 MB. Some are unlocked.

The i3's cost between $115 and $175
The i5's cost between $190 and $245
The i7's cost between $300 and $1000
In this brief explanation, I am not counting any of the ones that have special letters at the end (the T and S series). I am counting the K series.

Well, you OC'ed your CPU, so that's exempt. The FX-8320 when overclocked to 5 Ghz will be as good in games.
