4K tv to use as PC display? Running off SLI EVGA 970 SSCs

40inch or better
Needs to run Netflix or HBO 4k content


Seems most TVs will not run 4K beyond 30 hz and a few can with a p lot of hassle.

under $1000 USD to be realistic Already have a QNix 1440P monitor 4K at 28 inch is not much of an improvement.

Hey!

Your graphics card GTX 970 support HDMI 2.0 which is required for 4k at 60 Hz. Hope that answers your question! This used to be a problem so you were limited to DisplayPort, but another problem was that TV's don't have display ports, and so the adapters sold usually didn't support 4k at 60 Hz either.

Now, you may think that 2 GTX 970's in SLI is enough for 4k but in reality they're not and so you would have to play games with settings dialed down a bit.

For that, read customer reviews. This is a TV that is currently half it's price and it runs 4k at 60 Hz with HDMI 2.0. Cheaper 4k models will not be very good, while most people think that resolution is everything, a 1080 can look a lot better than a 4k due to contrast/color accuracy/saturation etc.
