What is better for gaming i7 4790k or 5820k

Solution
For gaming, both the i7-4790k and i7-5820k are very high-end. The differences lie more with the number of PCI lanes they support over their speed (they both are fast). For a dual GPU system, the LGA1150 platform is way to go. For your first build, I would recommend going with a single GPU system rather than SLI right out of the gate. You are already looking at a top-tier GPU so go with one of them for now with the option to add a second later. You likely won't need it for a while to come...
