Console cheapness on craigslist

Hey forum, I have a question about the reliability of console buying on craigslist. Being a person who plays mostly pc, I recently had the notion to give the next gen consoles a shot. Because I'm a pc guy I don't really want to spend 300 bucks on a console so I've been thinking about giving craigslist a shot, and I saw listings in the $100's with games bundled in. I even saw a ps4 with an astro headset for 150 dollars. So my question to you guys is, have you ever used craigslist to buy consoles and what precautions to look out for when buying consoles on craigslist. Thanks...

generally buying electronics on craigslist is very hit or miss.

there are legitimate sellers trying to make some extra cash but also quite a bit of people with either stolen or unworking units trying to pawn them off.

when dealing with electronics, always see it working. in the case of consoles, load up a game on it at their residence or shop and see how it performs. also, generally things that seem too good to be true often are.

if they cant prove that it works, dont buy it.
