Hey guys, so just recently I decided to replace W7 to W8.1 on my pc build. After that I've noticed that I started getting high ping in Battlefield 4 on my wired connection. It would range anywhere between 80-140ms. I looked at the settings and they all seem alright to me and I think nothing needs to be adjusted. Then I tried using my 2.4Ghz channel wireless connection and I was surprised that my in game ping went from 80-140ms to 30-50ms. Both wireless and wired connections are linked to D-Link Ac1200 router and when I had W7 I never experienced any problems with the internet and ping.

I also want to pint out that I am running the latest drivers on all of my hardware including my router and the modem.

I would really appreciate if someone would help me with this problem. Thanks

A lower ping is better that means that your computer is communicating faster. a lower ping means that everything you do is delayed. The lower the ping the better.

Well, I don't have a dedicated network card and currently use whatever I have with my Asus z87-a mobo

all drivers are updated to their latest firmware
