MX239H HDMI Monitor, Long Wake Up

I've had this problem ever sense I got my monitor. Every time I wake up my computer it takes the monitor about 10 seconds to turn on. Why is that? Is it because of HDMI?

It really doesn't make sense because 90% of the time my monitor turns on in about 2 seconds when I turn on my PC from shut down.

Thx for the links. But I've already done those things.

I'm pretty sure it's the monitor or the HDMI port because this is what I've also tried:

1)Used to use it on my laptop, same problem. And now with my new PC I have the same problem.
2)Updated BIOS and Graphics Drivers
3)On my old laptop I tried both HDMI ports (I have no DVI or DP) and same thing.

I haven't tried a DVI to HDMI adapter. Should I do that?

Yes - try another cable. Try another monitor.

Ok then. I've tried a different monitor and that works fine. But a different HDMI cable on the MX239H doesn't fix this issue.

Ill try a DVI to HDMI cable when I have time.

Sounds like a bung monitor. But double check with other cables and try it on another PC if you can.
