I went looking around and never found a specific enough answer to feel safe about what I'de like to do with the ram and MoBo I intend on getting.
So here is the board I intend on getting.
http://www.microcenter.com/product/446623/M5A97_R20_Socket_AM3_ATX_AMD_Motherboard
It seems to have 4 RAM slots with the typical A1, B1, A2, B2 configuration. That's great because I have 4 gigs of ram as is and I can bump that up to 8 by buying another 2 sticks, and here lies the question.
Is it safe to put the following in that board...
2 x 2gb / 1.35volt / 1333mhz (In A1 and A2)
with
2 x 2gb /1.5volt / 1600mhz (In B1 and B2)
My concern lies with the different voltages running in the same board, not with the frequency or timing. Seeing as I would like to NOT screw my first PC build over, any help would be greatly appreciated.
