Hello,

Okay so right now I have an old Princeton vl2018w monitor, that works fine but it has an issue when the computer is booting up. The computer itself is a Dell OptiPlex 780 that works just fine, however during boot up, usually a cold boot the monitor will recognize the bios screen and the starting windows screen but afterwards it loses connection and I have to unplug the VGA cable for the screen to come back. Any suggestions? Drivers and Bios are up to date and this issue only happens on the Princeton monitor not any other monitor while using the same VGA cable.

Solution
"this issue only happens on the Princeton monitor"

Then logically the Princeton monitor is evidently faulty.

You'll either have to put up with it as it is, or get rid of it and buy a new one.
(no prize for correctly guessing which one I would do).

Well it only happens on a COLD boot on a restart it works fine, so I don't think the monitor is completely faulty otherwise I might have to unplug it all the time right? But on a cold boot if I go into safe mode then it works no problem.
