Help! I can't figure out what I did wrong.

I finished my gaming computer (finally) and plugged it in, and ran it. Nothing came up on the screen then I figured out that monitor was fried. So I just bought a brand new benq 24" monitor. Go to plug my computer in and it says "No signal" on my monitor. I plugged my laptop into the monitor and it worked fine. Here is some pick I took. Check:

CPU Fan is plugged into CPU Header on MoBo
EPS connector is plugged in
PSU tested with "paperclip test"
Power button cable connected
PSU Switch on in back of puter

IF jacks suggestions don't help move the ram over in to the nest slot and try booting again.

And the computer turns on, all the fans move, all lights turn on. So im just lost.

Yes they are. I checked for loose screws and everything. I found nothing.

Nothing changed everything still turning on, but no signal.

You're making sure that the monitor is plugged into the graphics card and the motherboard is set to pcie graphics by default, right?

What happens if you take the graphics card out and plug the monitor into the motherboard? Do you get anything?

BTW, your board is "dual channel" and has only 1 stick, not 2. You can run dual channel with a single stick, though with a performance hit, but check the MoBo to see what of the perfered slot for 1 stick confiurations

Since MoBo doesn't have LCD with error codes or LEDs (that I can see) to tell you what's wrong, looks like it's time to call Tech Support and have them walk you thru troubleshooting

You're making sure that the monitor is plugged into the graphics card and the motherboard is set to pcie graphics by default, right?

What happens if you take the graphics card out and plug the monitor into the motherboard? Do you get anything?

No, nothing does this mean it's a mobo problem?

long shot, have you tried both dvi ports on the gpu? Are you 100% sure the monitor works? a dead monitor would give exactly the same results wouldn't it? or a dead dvi cable, before we start rma'ing mobos.

I have hooked my laptop up to my monitor with an hdmi cable and it worked fine. I used the same hdmi cable to hook up my computer to my monitor that didn't work either, and I have tried both ports on the gpu.

Hook up a Case Speaker ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812201032 ) and copy down the beep code. then look in the manual for the meaning. This step is missed by many because many take it for granted that there is a case speaker.

The trouble code that the speaker puts out will tell you what part is not passing POST.

Is the cpu power cable plugged in? I did the same thing my first build edit*oops nvm glad u got it going

My suspicion is that the default video device was on peg not auto, default being auto or internal, pushing it back to default let you get into bios. The question now is whether the GPU works.
