(Curious) Anybody tired a GeForce Card with FreeSync?

With more freesync monitors on the market now and with how ridiculously cheap they are, has anybody tried putting a GeForce card with a free sync monitor?

I just don't see why it would not work. Besides driver stuff over course.

it won't work because they technology required to power freesync isn't built into NVidia gpu's, the same way AMD can't use gsync or even older AMD or Nvidia can't use either of them.

I don't see how the monitor itself won't work, but you almost certainly won't be able to benefit from the DP 1.2a specs.

I do believe nVidia GPUs that is capable of G-Sync should, in theory, be capable of driving DP 1.2a version of G-Sync, as the monitor already has variable refresh rate built in (one of the primary requisites of G-Sync). They just haven't begun supporting 1.2a yet. I am rather skeptical of nVidia supporting 1.2a though in the near future.
