This is the first time that I am building a computer and I am trying to get as much feedback as possible before purchasing it. The computer will mostly be used for gaming and some school work. My budget was around $800 excluding the peripherals. Here is a list of the parts from pcpartpicker. Let me know what you guys think.

Overall it looks good to me. Here are some suggestions:

- Unless you plan to overclock, change the i5 to a cheaper locked version such as the i5 4460. You pay more for the unlocked processor. If you do plan to overclock the CPU then you should look at a decent after market cooler.

- You could save a few bucks by going with a generic optical drive which would work just as well

- If you're looking for a mechanical keyboard I would look elsewhere from Razer products. Peronally I would use a keyboard with real Cherry MX switches, not the Kailh switches Razer uses.

How do you feel about the power supply?

That might depend on when it was put in the box .
Still its an ASUS board and should be able to be updated without needing a processor to boot it

Why is the dual channel RAM better than just one?
