Laptops for computer science undergraduate student

I am going to university studying computer science this year and I was wondering if anyone has some suggestions on a new laptop.

My budget will be less than 1500 canadian dollars. It can increase if needed.
It doesn't have to be very light but not too heavy.
Probably choose from HP, Dell, Lenovo, Sony or Sumsung.
Can drive light game like NBA2K15 or Football manager.

You don't need much hardware to program basic stuff. Personally I'd go for a mac book pro or some kind of unix environment unless you will be doing .net

I would either go with lenovo or a barebone laptop like sagar. Make sure that the laptop has at least an i5 m cpu, 8 gigs of ram and around 500gb of storage as the programs that you will make will get more and more complex as you go through the years.
